Frederico Varandas, president of the Board of Directors of Sporting SAD, may receive 890000 euros for the 2026/27 season, as shown by the proposal from the Shareholders' Committee that forms one of the 12 points of the AGM of the company, which will take place on the 26th, from 18h00, at the Business Hub of Estádio José Alvalade.

According to information disclosed to the CMVM (Portuguese Securities Market Commission), there is an increase of almost 19% (18,7%) compared with last season, where, between fixed and variable amounts, the director had a maximum ceiling of 750000 euros.

To understand the difference, the last financial year, and in a dichotomy between sporting and financial components, brought Varandas 300000 euros fixed, to which up to 450000 € in objectives could be added. Now, it is understood that the president will earn 354000 euros fixed, plus 534000 in variables - in other words, the total package can jump by 140000 euros.

There is also a salary revision proposal for the remaining directors, who will go from 225000 to 267000 euros fixed/year, with up to 400500 € in objectives added (the current value is 337500 €.

It should be remembered that these are gross values and that the performance bonuses of the Sporting SAD board are always paid in the following season - in the case of the new proposal passing, they come into effect at the start of 2027/28.
